Babylon By Bus | Martijn Huisman, Gijbert Hanekroot

Relive the golden age of reggae, when Bob Marley and this quintessentially Jamaican music genre celebrated their greatest triumphs. Marley his band toured extensively between 1973 and 1981, spreading their music and message of rebellion, redemption, and Rastafari. Babylon by Bus describes Marleys concerts in the Netherlands in detail and brings these stories to life with photographs taken by Gijsbert Hanekroot, capturing the celebrated musician at his best. From growing up in the Kingston ghetto, Marley rose to fame and became perhaps the worlds most famous political entertainer, a champion of oppressed peoples and a symbol of freedom and hope for many.
